The Programme combines the acquisition of practical knowledge and leadership skills for further digital transformation of the public sector along with the first-hand international experience

The Leadership Programme for Women Involved in Digitalisation of Public Services provides an opportunity to immerse in the field of state digital transformation through a combination of applied industry knowledge and hard skills, non-technical soft skills, and effective recommendations from field experts.

This 6-month Programme offers a unique combination of Ukraine's experience and international best practices. The study modules of the Programme are mainly practical, i.e., not academic in nature. The certificate of completion will be provided to those who successfully meet all the requirements.

The Programme is threefold: a) 17 weekly webinars lasting up to 1.5 hours each, b) a two-day training session in Kyiv, and c) a one-week study tour to a country among top leaders of the UN E-government Index.

Our lecturers are experts with applicable experience in the digital transformation of the public sector and recognised practitioners of this field.

The Programme is aimed at supporting the women's community (networking), united by common ideas and willingness to work together for the digital transformation of Ukraine

Who is this program for

The Programme is aimed at women leaders who already have experience in digital transformation of the public sector and managing teams being motivated for further career development in this field.

Requirements
Women with a higher education in middle management positions in executive authorities or state institutions/enterprises with at least 3 years of professional experience
Confirmed participation in at least 2 projects/initiatives related to state digital transformation
Readiness to fully participate in the Programme during the specified period (all finalists of the selection must provide written confirmation from the supervisor regarding the possibility of participation in the Programme)
Fluency in the Ukrainian language; knowledge of the English language at a sufficient professional level, confirmed by a certificate or samples of the applicant's written work, will be considered an advantage

MODULES

Program structure

Module 1
Digitalisation in public sector

It will reveal the peculiarities of national and regional levels of digital transformation in the public sector through the position of CDTO (Chief Digital Transformation Officer), explain the concept of human-centred public e-services, guide on the path of creating a digital product, and also emphasize the importance of developing an inclusive digitalisation policy

Module 2
Trends and tendencies of digital transformation

It will allow one to immerse oneself in leading UK practices for building e-services, explain in simple terms what interoperability is and why it is important, give an idea of digital accessibility as an integral part of any digital product, and stress on the protection of personal data and showcase the latest developments in the use of artificial intelligence

Module 3
Effective management

It will begin with an inspirational speech about leadership in the public sector from one of Ukraine's well-known practitioner in the digitalisation domain, then will talk about the principles of teamwork and creating a dream team, led through features of cooperation with international technical assistance projects and methods of attracting state funds for the implementation of digital ideas

Module 4
Non-technical (soft) skills for a civil servant

It will provide advice on effective negotiations with colleagues and partners, enable one to rethink one’s own communications and understand the basics of building a personal image, and also motivate one to delve into the intricacies of public speaking

FAQ

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes, upon successful completion of the programme, the participants will receive a certificate. To receive a certificate, you need to attend at least 70% of the webinars

How much does the Programme cost?

Currently, the programme is supported by the donors and is free for the students

Does your Campus have a bomb shelter?

We provide a bomb shelter only on the Campus (a two-day training session in Kyiv)
