Breaking News | On May 29, the Diia Summit was held in Zurich

This event showcased the outcomes of reforms driven by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, supported by Swiss partners, and outlined future plans and goals for Ukraine's digital transformation.

During the event, Mykhailo Fedorov highlighted the achievements of the digital state:

  • The world's first digital passport on a smartphone;
  • eMalyatko (a one-stop service for newborns);
  • The fastest business registration in the world, completed in just a few clicks;
  • An innovative service — online marriage registration in Diia.

Future plans of the Ministry, in partnership with Switzerland, include:

  • Ongoing collaboration on the reform of the State Statistics Service;
  • Transformation of the education system — launching the groundbreaking app Mriia, which will revolutionize modern learning;

Additionally, a memorandum was signed at the summit to establish the world's second Global Government Technology Center (GGTC Kyiv) in Kyiv.

This GovTech center is being opened by the World Economic Forum and will be managed and operated by the East Europe Foundation.

The summit also featured two panel discussions on implementing digital solutions for governments and the potential for digitalization in the public and private sectors.

Speakers included representatives from European governments and top managers from global tech companies such as Valeriya Ionan, Patricia Danzi, Mirek Dusek, Mark Boris Andrianić, and others.

Diia in Zurich was organized in collaboration with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, with support from Visa.
